Obituary: Todd Kevin Rose, 47, fighting the war of illness, fought a good fight with all of his might. On Wednesday, October 24, 2012 another sunny afternoon, God exercising His infinite wisdom and miraculous powers entered Todd's room at Duke Hospital, peacefully calling him to rest, under the loving watch of his family. Funeral services for Todd will be held at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis at 1:00 PM Monday, October 29 with Rev. Kelcy Steele officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 28 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at other times they will be at his home at 603 N. Juniper St.. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park One sunny Monday afternoon on August 2, 1965, God chose to bless Lillian and Tola B. Rose, Jr. with a beautiful baby boy whose chosen name was Todd Kevin Rose. Todd's years of education included Charles B. Aycock Elementary School, Cannon Jr. High School and A. L. Brown High School, Class of 1984. After graduating High School he worked in Masonry for three years. Being the determined person he was, after an accident which caused injury to his hand he decided to become an entrepreneur, detailing cars...he was "The Wax Man"! Todd was later employed by Hendrick Automotive Group and was proud to have worked there for over 24 years until his health declined. Being part of The Hendrick Team was one of the many highlights in his life. Todd enjoyed fishing, sports, NASCAR and attending auctions were among the things he loved. Above all, Todd enjoyed the company of his family and friends. In addition to his Mother and Father, he leaves to cherish wonderful memories twin children; Brittany Angela Rose, Charlotte, NC and Jarred Todd (Jessica) of Riverview, Florida, one brother; Tola B. Rose III (Sadie), Concord, NC, one sister; Lillian Tolonda Rose Simmons (Malcolm), Charlotte, NC. Aunts; Lola K. Gilmore, St. Albans, NY, Margaret K. Branch (Roosevelt), Marietta GA, Doris S. Kiser, Stone Mountain, GA, Frances R. Mingo (Joe, Sr.), Laura Fisher, Rose E. Rose, Eleanor K. Butler (Ronald) all of Kannapolis, NC, Three uncles; Donald W. Rose (Janie), Kannapolis, NC, William H. Kiser, Brian Center-Concord, NC, James L. Kiser, Sr., Buies Creek, NC, two nieces; Courtney Rose, Jillian Simmons, two nephews; Daaron Presnell, Tola B. Rose IV and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.
