Tommy Gray Eller

Tommy Gray Eller, 73 years old, of China Grove, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 1, 2023.  Tommy was born on January 31, 1950 in Davidson County to the late Ray Leslie and Bonnie Roxanne Smith Eller.

Tommy was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He proudly served his country in the US Navy where he was a Navy corpsman.  After serving in the Navy, he worked most of his career as a printing press operator for Snyder Packaging in Concord for 37 years, prior to retiring.  Tommy loved to be outdoors, especially gardening, ride his motorcycle, caring for his honeybees and chickens and the wild birds that visited his property.

Tommy was predeceased by his son, Christopher Leo Eller in 2020; his brothers, Jimmy Eller, Dick Eller and Larry Eller; and his sister-in-law, Julia Eller.  Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Vicki Meeler Eller; his son, Joshua Eller; his daughter, Amanda Eller Summey and her husband Jonathan; his sister, Bonnie King and her husband Jimmy; his grandchildren, Hattie Eller and Kattie Carroll and her husband Logen; his great granddaughter, Maelynn Carroll and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service to honor Tommy’s life will be held on Sunday 12pm at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove with Rev. James Byers officiating.  Military honors will follow.
