Obituary: Toni Brooks Strickland, 55 of Mooresville, NC died at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center on Saturday, August 13, 2016. Toni was born on July 21, 1961 in Cabarrus Co., NC the daughter of Austin Raymond Brooks and Connie Elizabeth Deason Brooks. Toni showed much love to all who knew her and was loved by many. She was affectionately known as "Mom ma Bear" to so many youngsters in her neighborhood. She is survived by her husband, Larry Strickland; three daughters, Brook Harrell, Amber Strickland and Christina Strickland; 5 grandchildren; her parents, Austin Raymond Brooks and Connie Elizabeth Deason Brooks; 3 brothers, Terry Brooks, Tommy Brooks and Glenn Askeland and a sister, Dee Simbro. A service for Toni will be held at a later date.
