Obituary: Kannapolis, NC Tony Maxon Kelly, 69 of Kannapolis died Saturday, April 29, 2017 at THS of Kannapolis after a period of declining health. A memorial service will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, May 6 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 11:00 to 12:00 PM prior to the service. Tony was born May 28, 1947 in Cabarrus Co., a son of the late C. M. and Mary Lord Kelly. He was a life-long resident and member of N. Kannapolis Wesleyan Church. Tony worked for FieldCrest Cannon in earlier years and later he worked for NorthEast Med. Center in the Nutritional Services Dept. Tony was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He will be dearly missed. Survivors include his children; Sara Kelly Flowe (Chris), Lara Kelly and Patrick Kelly, all of China Grove, his granddaughter, Ashley Flowe and his 4 brothers; C. H. Kelly (Jill) and Richard Kelly (Star) both of Kannapolis, Gaylon Kelly (Brenda) of N. Wilkesboro and Donald Kelly (Gaye) of Concord. Online condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com.
