Tonya Renee Riley

Tonya Renee Riley, 48, of Concord went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Atrium Health Northeast following a period of declining health.

Tonya was born January 9, 1972 in Mecklenburg County NC a daughter of James Henry Riley of Rockwell and the late Vera Blanche Pridgen Riley.

She was a 1990 graduate of North Mecklenburg High School. She enjoyed all forms of athletics including swimming and softball.

She was an avid Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Jr. fan and a fan of NASCAR.

Prior to her disability she was employed CR Thomas Construction in Charlotte and CT Plumbing in Indian Trail. Her two sons were her pride and joy.

Family members left to cherish her memory in addition to her father are two sons Joshua Riley Duncan and Caden Le Duncan both of Concord. Tonya’s caretaker and father of her children John Van Duncan, IV of Concord.

Also surviving is a sister, Michelle Griggs (Steve) and their children, Sarah, Kerstin and Dallas Griggs all of Concord. She is also survived by her best Friend, Robin Linker of Kannapolis.

The family of Tonya will schedule a Memorial Service to celebrate her life when local health restrictions improve.
