Obituary: Troy Wayne Rollins, 66, of Landis, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 at his home. He was born June 7, 1947 in Cabarrus County, the son of Virginia P. Rollins of Kannapolis and the late R.J. Rollins. He was a retired Staff Sergeant of the US Army having served 20 years. He also retired from Boeing in Arizona after 20 years. He moved back to this area 5 years ago. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He had a good work ethic, strong moral character and a great sense of humor. He loved his family. He also enjoyed fishing, golf, playing Texas Hold'em, as well as an avid Atlanta Braves and Carolina Panthers fan. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Babette "Babs" Rollins, three children: Christine Diane Weinstein (Patrick) of Landis, Shawn Patrick Rollins (Kacie) of Kannapolis and James Robert Rollins of the U.K., 5 grandchildren: Wayne Allen Hargett, Neo Maxim Rollins, Austin Davis Rollins, Vivian Marie Rollins, Megan Rollins, a sister, Anita Marie Wingler(Kenny) of Kannapolis and a brother, Timothy Dwayne Rollins of Kannapolis. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Kannapolis. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at the National Cemetery with military graveside rites. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 to 11.
Visitation: 10:00-11:00 AM Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.

Service: 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.

Interment: National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC
