Obituary: Vendelia Cauble Hudson, 92, of Kannapolis, went to be with her Lord and Savior March 4, 2017 at the Tucker Hospice House. She was born April 22, 1924 in Cabarrus Co. to the late Manuel Cauble and Lillie Mae Cress Cauble. Vendelia worked at Cannon Mills in the Sheet Department for 40 Years and retired in 1988. She was a faithful member of Midway United Methodist Church. Vendelia enjoyed many things in her life, Duke Basketball, NASCAR "Tony Stewart", traveling to all 50 states, Mexico and Canada, baking and she loved her dogs. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul E. "Tommy" Hudson in 1990, a daughter Paula Vendelia "Dee" Mullinax in 1995, and a granddaughter Angie Vendelia Mullinax in 1990. Those left to cherish her memory, two grandsons Mark Mullinax (Paula), Dean Mullinax (Angela) both of Kannapolis, three great grandchildren Haley Moore, Makenzie Mullinax, and Zach Mullinax. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Midway United Methodist Church, with Rev. Mike Collins officiating, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Tuesday at Midway UMC prior to the service, at other times the family will be at the home of Dean Mullinax.
