Vera (Donahue) Dudley

Vera Donahue Dudley, 85, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Tucker Hospice House following a period of declining health.

She was born August 5, 1936 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late john Henry and Minnie Ada Cartner Donahue. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Dewittt Dudley in 1992, a daughter, Vera Elaine Dudley, and two sons, Charles Morrow and Brian Morrow.

Vera was a member of Second Baptist Church where she was a member of the church choir played piano and was a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary. She was a seamstress and loved to sew, read and attend family events.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 4, 2022 at Second Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Gary Scoggins. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove.

Family members left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Deborah Barnes and husband Craig of Raleigh, NC. a brother, Doyle Donahue and wife Catherine of South Carolina, eight grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family requests that memorials be sent to Second Baptist Church, 807 Sweet Gum Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
