Vernice Bostic

Obituary: Mrs. Vernice Tomlin Simpson Bostic, 85, of Mooresville, formerly of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. Vernice was born January 27, 1931 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late Loue Allen and Clora Elemetti Yow Tomlin. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in China Grove and retired from Linn-Corriher Mills after 32 years of service. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two husbands; Eugene Simpson and John Bostic and one sister Ruby Goodman. Survivors include three daughters; Patsy Sperling and husband Norm of Mooresville, Sharon Weddington of Mooresville and Venita Allman of Kannapolis. She is also survived by one son, Terry Simpson and wife Mary of China Grove, two brothers, Allen Tomlin, Sr. and Don Tomlin Sr., both of Concord, two sisters, Doris Deaton and Shirley Thompson and husband Eddie, all of Concord. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 28 great-great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 2, 2016 at Whitley's Funeral Annex Chapel conducted by Rev. Donnie Tomlin. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove. The family will receive friends at the Whitley's Annex Chapel from 12:30-2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
