Viola Frances Guinn

Obituary: Viola Frances Hillhouse Guinn, 85, of 809 Sorrel Dr., Kannapolis, NC died at the home of her daughter at 1464 Cottage Road, Kannapolis on September 14, 2011.Mrs. Guinn was born on March 23, 1926 in Bartow Co., GA the daughter of the late Glenn Hillhouse and the late Myrtle Haygood Guinn. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George A. Black, Sr. and two daughters; Dorothy Edwards and Sonya Cavenader.The funeral for Mrs. Guinn will take place at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sep. 17, 2011 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Billy Locklear. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home from 7-9:00 p.m., Friday night. At other times they will be at the home of a daughter, Patricia Stalder at 1464 Cottage Rd., Kannapolis.Mrs. Guinn was a proud member of Mt. Olive Regional Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and dearly loved her church family.Survivors include 3 Sons, George Arnold Black, Jr., Robert Arnold Black and Herman Eugene Black; 4 Daughters; Patricia Stalder, Marie Hinson, Wanda Wilson and Rosemary Hartsell. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at Whitleys Funeral Home from 7-9:00 p.m., Friday night.

Service: The funeral for Mrs. Guinn will take place at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sep. 17, 2011 at Whitleys Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment: Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
