Virginia Mae Ginger Kiser Davis

Obituary: Concord, NC Ginger Davis (Virginia Mae Kiser), Born on November 29th, 1942 in Concord, NC, to Stonewall Jackson and Doshia Bullard Kiser, Ginger was raised from age 3, along with her brother Jim and sister Diane, at Barium Springs Home for Children in Troutman, NC, and graduated from Troutman High School in 1961. Ginger retired in 2005 from the NC Department of Motor Vehicles, where she worked for the NC License Tag Agency in Kannapolis for many years, and then transferred into the International Registration Department in Charlotte, where she worked for over 25 years. After retiring, Ginger enjoyed working in her yard and on her home; spending time with family and friends, going dancingand listening to music and karaoke. She has many friends and will be truly missed by all. Ginger is survived by her son, Kenneth Lee Davis, Jr. (Sandy), of Charlotte; her daughter, Cynthia Lynn Davis (Cindy), of Mount Holly, NC, and her ‘adopted' kids, Renee Harrison and Brian Crutchfield. She is also survived by her sister, Diane Kiser Smith of Tucson, AZ; her brother, Jim Kiser, of Greensboro; her companion, Bob Spiega, of Concord, and her beloved cat, Ebert. She was preceded in death by her brother, Howard Kiser of Bowie, Texas, who passed away in August of this year. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis on Friday, October 30th from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Rather than a traditional funeral service, Ginger has requested that her friends & family join together to celebrate her life at a memorial event to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials please be made to the Levine & Dickson Hospice House, in sincere gratitude for the excellent care provided to Ginger and her family.
