Virginia W. (Dobbie) Jung

Obituary: Virginia Wright "Dobbie" Jung entered into a new life with Jesus in Heaven Saturday evening, November 29th, 2014. Dobbie was a woman of great Faith in her Lord and unashamingly spoke of her Faith in nearly every conversation, sharing her faith with all of those she came in contact with. Dobbie was a business owner, a radio show host at WRKB in Kannapolis, NC, WHVN and the Satellite Programming Network in Charlotte, NC through which she shared her faith through music and scripture reading. Dobbie was a sought after speaker and teacher at various churches throughout the Cabarrus and Rowan counties. Dobbie was a Charter member of The Kannapolis American Legion Post 114, Auxiliary. Her hobbies included painting and writing. Above all else, Dobbie was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, caregiver and friend. Dobbie was born in Lincolnton NC and was the second daughter of Clyde A. Wright and Lottie P. Wright of Landis, NC. Dobbie was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita "Jackie" Crowe and Patricia "Pat" Crainshaw of Kannapolis, NC. Dobbie is survived by one brother, Ben F. Wright of Mooresville, NC, Newmoon N. Jung Sr., her husband of 67 years, three sons, Newmoon N. Jung Jr. "Juney" and wife Karen of Concord, NC, Danny L. Jung and wife Judy of Concord, NC, and Timothy D. "Tim" Jung and wife Jane currently of Greenwood, SC, six grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A service celebrating the life of Dobbie led by her Grandson Jarred Jung will be held in the Chapel of Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis, NC at 2:00pm Friday, December 5th, 2014. Visitation for the family will be from 12:30 pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be held at the Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum in Kannapolis, NC.
