Virginia Riffle

Obituary: Virginia Marie Carroll Riffle, 69, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Tucker Hospice House, following a period of declining health. Born in Cabarrus County, N.C. on July 2, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Pearl Lee Carroll and Eula Vee Riley Carroll. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Virginia was employed by What-A-Burger for 49 years where she was employed as manager of the #1 restaurant. She was loved by many. She loved to travel, cruise and spend time with her grandchildren. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Phillip Murph. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Whitley's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence. Survivors left to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years; Lonnie Riffle of the home, two sons, Lee Henry Riffle and Melanie Chmiel of Kannapolis, and Jason Dale Riffle of Kannapolis; two daughters, Crystal Henry Perkins (husband Darrin) of Kannapolis and Melissa R. Riffle of Kannapolis. Also surviving are three sisters; Brenda Munson, Shirley Storey and Betty Ward along with two brothers; Ronnie and Larry Carroll. She is survived by twelve grandchildren; Devyn, Sarah, Caleb, Sylas, Jayda, Jordan, Laila, Kailey, Mika, Annika, Madison and Julianna along with one great grandchild, Jonah. The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
