Virginia “Ginger” Grey Saxon, 64, of Kannapolis, passed away on February 25, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord, North Carolina.
Born on March 13,1956 in Charlotte, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Marion Wilkins Irving.
Ginger thoroughly enjoyed working many years as a Business Analyst. She loved going to the beach and enjoying the water. Fullness was found in her heart when she was spending time with her family and loved ones. Ginger was known for her love of the outdoors, especially trips to the mountains and camping. Her infectious, loving smile and warm heart will be missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
Ginger is survived by her loving spouse of forty one years, Lide Saxon; three children Charles Saxon, Daniel Saxon, and Allison Saxon; a granddaughter Riley Ford; and three siblings Ken Irving, Marilyn Hartis, and Margaret Haughton. Aside from her parents, her brother Charles Irving has also passed away.
A celebration to honor her life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday March 5, 2022 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Annex Chapel, Kannapolis. The family will receive friends and have a video presentation to share with friends from various stages of Ginger’s life, from 12:30 – 1:00 prior to the service.
