Virginia W. Wallace

Obituary: Virginia W. Wallace, 71, of 312 Central Avenue, Kannapolis died March 20, 2011 at Carolinas Specialty Hospital in Charlotte. She was born August 23, 1939 in Darlington County, SC , the daughter of the late Luther Leslie Wallace and Lois Gainey Wallace. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Wallace, her sister Peggy Wallace and a grand daughter Brianne Stamey Wallace. She had retired from Child Care, Inc after working 32 years. She attended Faith Freewill Baptist Church where she was active in the Bus ministry, a former Sunday school teacher and loved gospel music. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 23rd, at Faith Freewill Baptist Church officiated by Rev. James Pauley. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Her body will be taken home on Tuesday until taken to the church to lie in state 1 hour prior on Wednesday. She is survived by children, Roy, Randy, Derek, Jeffrey, Stanley and Robin, two sisters, Debra and Betty, and three brothers Joseph, James and Clifton, 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
