Voncile (Shuffler) Hall

Voncile “Mawmaw” Shuffler Hall, 84, of China Grove passed away June 9, 2020 at Atrium Health-Cabarrus. She was born October 31, 1935 in Rowan County, a daughter of the late Homer and Margie Hill Shuffler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Glen Hall and a daughter, Fonda Hall Brinkley.

Voncile had previously worked at Stanback and then at Terry Products for 35 years. Voncile was also a caregiver, especially, to elderly people with dementia. She loved working in her garden and going to yard sales. Mawmaw was involved with Rowan Helping Ministries delivering food and to Whispering Oaks four days per week for 10 years. She was a very active member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church where she was a woman of faith and loved her Lord. She would visit the sick and  cook meals for the sick at church and for funerals.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Revs. George Bradshaw and Bruce Graham. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from  1 to 2 PM prior at Whitley’s.

Mawmaw is survived by her children, Ernest F. Casey Jr. (Charmaine), Nathan Hall (KatyBeth), Roger Hall (Robin), Glen Hall (Karen), Judy Hall Ward (Jason), brother, William Shuffler (Louise), 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
