Wade Morrison

Obituary: Wade Hamilton Morrison, 81, of Denver, NC, formerly of Kannapolis died Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory. Death was unexpected. He was born July 31, 1931 in Alexander County, NC, son of the late John Henry and Virginia Dare Goodin Morrison. Wade attended Flowe-Harris Presbyterian Church in Concord. He was owner/operator of L&M Electro Coating, Inc. and was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict Era. He enjoyed living on Lake Norman and was an avid fisherman and boater. He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Jean Council Morrison whom he married Dec. 26, 1952, two sons, Bo Morrison and wife Lori of Salisbury, Brad Morrison and wife Susan of Terrell, NC, one daughter, Andrea Mullis and husband Howard of Salisbury, four grandchildren; Cari Mullis, Jeremy Mullis, Justin Morrison, and Jacob Morrison, and one brother, Billy Morrison of Kannapolis. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, November 2, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the residence. Funeral services will be private.
