Wade Edward Eddie Sawyer

Obituary: Concord, NC- Wade Edward (Eddie) Sawyer, Jr., age 44, died Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Five Oaks Manor, Concord, NC after a period of declining health. He was born August 2, 1964 in Cabarrus County, NC, the son of the late Wade Edward Sawyer, Jr. and Flossie Sheets Sawyer. In earlier years he worked for Hamby Floor Covering, Concord, NC. Later, due to a disability he took an early retirement. He had an avid love for fishing and spending time with his son. The funeral service will be 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated Rev. David Haltom, pastor of Journey 24/27. Burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Survivors include his son, Darryl Wade Sawyer; four sisters, Joni Short of China Grove, NC, Janet Eckard of Salisbury, NC, Pam Bowers of Kannapolis, NC, and Suzanne Sawyer of Concord, NC; one brother, Tommy Sawyer of Kannapolis, NC.
