Obituary: China Grove-Wallace Powell "Bud" Hinnant, Jr., 57, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at his home. Bud was born July 26, 1959 in Ridgeway,SC, the son of the late Wallace Powell Hinnant Sr. and Dorothy Elizabeth Gulledge Hinnant. Bud loved all of his family, including his "adopted childen". He was a member of the Lions Club and enjoyed trains and playing pool. A lover of his country, Bud always took time to thank our military men and women for their dedication and service. Gone too soon, Bud will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family members left with cherished memories include his wife of 30 years, Lana Hinnant; his daughter Amber Joy Repine and husband, Aaron; his grandson, Evan Repine; his son Wallace Powell Hinnant, III; five sisters Beth Hinnant, Sara Hinnant, Anne Renihan, Holly Geres and Alice Lew; 4 nieces, 2 nephews, 2 great nieces and 2 great nephews also survive. The family will receive friends Monday, November 28th form 12:00-1:00 pm, with services beginning at 1:00 pm, all in the Annex Chapel of Whitley's Funeral Home.
