Obituary: Walter Worth Goodman, Jr., 85, of Kannapolis passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. He was born June 24, 1929 in Ashe County, the son of the late Walter Worth Goodman, Sr. and Bessie Fall Goodman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cloie Lou Goodman, five brothers and a sister. He had formerly worked at Propst Construction and the Kannapolis Sanitary District. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, October 31, 2014 at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove officiated by Rev. Leon Hawks. He is survived by 4 daughters, Brenda Odom of Kannapolis, Teresa Goodman of Salisbury, Marie Jones of Jefferson and Wanda Ferguson of West Jefferson, 3 sons, Roger Goodman of China Grove, Billy Goodman and Ray Goodman both of Kannapolis, 22 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
