Walter Ray Patterson

Obituary: Kannapolis, NC Ray Patterson Walter Ray Patterson, 88, of Kannapolis passed away on February 25, 2018. He was born November 22, 1929 in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Carl Lee Patterson and Katie Mae Alexander Patterson. He was preceded in death by two wives, Dorothy Louise Ruckard and Millie White Sloop Patterson, brothers, George, Harold and Elwood Patterson and sister, Daisy Mae Patterson. Ray had retired from Cannon Mills after many years and then worked at Lowe's Foods in Mooresville. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Mooresville. Ray was a veteran of the US Air Force. Ray also loved racing. He is survived by daughter, Alice Ray Jacobs, granddaughter, Samantha Kristen Jacobs both of Centerville, GA., sister-in-law, Roberta Patterson of Concord and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Carolina Memorial Park officiated by Pastor Mark A.
