Wanda Bonds

Obituary: Wanda Mae Russell Bonds, 76, of Charlotte, formerly of Kannapolis, died Monday Dec. 16, 2013 at CMC-NE after a brief illness. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM Wednesday, Dec. 18 at Carolina Memorial Park with Rev. Mike Tickle officiating. The family will visit with friends after the service. Wanda was born Oct. 3, 1937 in Cabarrus Co., a daughter of the late Gene and Margaret Russell. In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James H. Bonds, her son Joey, Bonds and her grandson, Brian Bailey. Survivors include her son Jimmy Bonds and daughter Sandra Bonds, both of Charlotte and daughter, Sheila Bailey of Kannapolis. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and her sisters, Barbara Johnson and Kay Cline.
