Wanda Kaye Dancy Bare

Obituary: Wanda Kaye Dancy Bare, age 54, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at CMC-NorthEast, Concord, NC after a sudden illness. She was born January 7, 1956 in Iredell County, NC, the daughter of the late Ray Gilmor Dancy and Bertha Lucille Finney Dancy. Kaye was employed as a bartender with the former Hideaway Lounge, Kannapolis, NC for many years. Later, she also worked at the former Dominion Yarns (now Parkdale), Landis, NC. She was a member of Friendship Freewill Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Donnie Dancy and Terry Dancy. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Friendship Freewill Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Chester Hurley. Burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 to 3:00 P.M. Saturday prior to the service. Survivors include her husband of twenty-one years, Tony C. Bare; two step-children, Tony David Bare of China Grove, NC and Jason Curtis Bare of Salisbury, NC; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Garland Ray Dancy of Concord, NC; and a sister, Judy Dancy McAllister of Troutman, NC; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ivey and Cathy Snipes, both of Kannapolis, NC. Memorials may be made to Friendship Freewill Baptist Church, 2521 Winfield Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
Visitation: 1:30 - 3 P.M. Saturday prior to the service

Service: A memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday Nov. 6, 2010 at Friendship Baptist Church.

Interment: Pending
