Obituary: Deral Wayne Teasley, 74, of Landis passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the Tucker Hospice House. He was born August 19, 1940 in Rowan County, the son of Pauline Blevins Teasley of Kannapolis and the late Thomas Lee Teasley. He was also preceded in death by Fonzie, beloved pet for 17 years. Wayne retired from Time-Warner Cable where he was an editor in the TV Production Dept. After retiring, he operated Piedmont Audio Visual Company. He was a veteran of the US Air Force from 1959 to 1963 where he was a Jet Engine Technician on the C130's. He was a member of the American Legion Post 146. He was a member of Genesis Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Carolina Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Gene Edwards and Roger Stedman. In addition to his mother, he is survived by wife, Charlane Harrington Teasley, two daughters, Tammy Henley (Trent) and Lisa Geen (Randall) all of China Grove, grandchildren, Justin Henley (Jennifer), Caleb Henley, Chris Green (Diane), Brandon Green, 4 great grandaughters, 2 great grandsons and his special furry companion, Buddy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesis Baptist Church "Building Fund", 9710 Old Concord Road, China Grove, NC 28023. Online condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com
