Willette Wilkerson

Obituary: Willette Goins Wilkerson, age 80, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the Trucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC after a short illness. She was born January 14, 1933 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of the late Vol Goins and Annie Faulkenberry Goins. Willette was employed at the former Fieldcrest-Cannon, Inc. Mills, Plant Four, after many years until her retirement. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church, Kannapolis, NC. One of her greatest joys was taking care of her three grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. James Matchette. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Concord, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 P.M. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home. Survivors include her daughter, Kelly Whitley & husband, Robert of Kannapolis, NC; three grandchildren, Braden Whitley, Justin Whitley, and Crayton; two sisters, Sarah Hamm of Kannapolis, NC and Ruth McCall, both of Kannapolis, NC; two brothers, Harold Goins and Conrad Goins, both of Kannapolis, NC.
