William "Fay" Boone

Obituary: William Perry "Fay" Boone, 74, of Kannapolis passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at CMC-Main in Charlotte. He was born April 4, 1938 in Chesterfield County, SC, the son of the late John Bunyan Boone and Lillie Mae Grooms Boone. He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. He retired from Cannon Mills where he worked from 1957 untill it closed. He was also a mechanic that could work on anything. He loved to fish and hunt. He also loved caring for his dogs. Fay loved taking care of his family. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Rodney Boone. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Friday at Whitley's. He is survived by his sisters, Ruby Draper and Bonnie Purvis, nieces and nephews, Julie Parham, William Parham, John Parham , Tabitha Parham and a number of great nieces and nephews.
