William Clayton Gibson

William Clayton Gibson, 91, of Kannapolis, passed away, Saturday, July 2, at The Brian Center of Concord.
He was born July 11, 1930 in Chesterfield Co. South Carolina, to the late Duncan McClarin Gibson and Lorena Davidson Gibson.
He served in The U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952. He loved to fish and garden he also enjoyed traveling to the beach and mountains.
He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Melton Gibson, son, William Randal Gibson, daughter, Patricia Elaine Gibson, and sister Reva Berger.
Those left to cherish his memory, son, Eric Gibson and his wife Darlene of Kannapolis, a sister Ethel Lisenby of Chesterfield, SC, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Second Baptist Church Kannapolis, officiating Rev. Gary Scoggins and Eric Gibson.
Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-2 PM at the church.
