William Howard Edwards

William Howard Edwards, 90, of China Grove, died at home on Monday, October 30, 2023. His death was unexpected.

A graveside service to celebrate William’s life will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park at 11:00 AM Friday, November 3. His family will visit with friends at the graveside following the committal service.

William was born September 12, 1933, in Rowan Co., the son of the late James Robert Edwards and Minnie Ruth Vanderburg. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Wagoner Edwards, his sister, Barbara Morgan and his grandson William Shaun Stiller.

William was a lifelong area resident and proud veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. In earlier years, William was an active member of the China Grove Jaycees and Past Master of the Eureka Masonic Lodge #283. He worked for many years as an electrician for residential and commercial construction and he also drove a truck for Jordan Oil.

He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Stiller of Salisbury, 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
