William Randall Gibson

Obituary: William Randall "Randy" Gibson, 60, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord at his home on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 following a period of declining health. He was born February 10, 1957 in Cabarrus County, NC a son of the late Virginia Melton Gibson who died September 10, 2016 and William Clayton Gibson of Supply, NC. Randy was educated in the Cabarrus County Schools. He loved to fish, was an avid carpenter and was able to build anything. He was of the Baptist Faith and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Randy was a self-employed carpenter. Family left to cherish his memory are his wife of seventeen years; Margaret Bost Gibson, on daughter, Stephanie Miller of Wilmington, three step-sons; Dean Efird (Teresa) of Landis, Jeff Efird (Tammy) of China Grove and Rick Efird (Lisa) of Kannapolis. One sister, Patricia Gibson of Kannapolis, one brother, Eric Gibson, Sr. (Darlene) of Holden Beach, NC. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, five nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Revs. Rodney Dean Efird and Eric Gibson, Sr. The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to West A Tabernacle Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 495, Kannapolis, NC 28082.
