William Harold Hamilton

Obituary: William Harold Hamilton, 75, of Concord went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Five Oaks Manor, Concord following a period of declining health. Harold was born April 26, 1943 in Cabarrus County, NC, a son of the late Charles Wesley and Inez Broadway Hamilton. He was a 1962 graduate of A.L. Brown High School and later attended Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. Harold was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Vietnam Era. He was employed at GE in Salisbury until his retirement. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He truly enjoyed being with his grandchildren. Harold was an avid classic car collector and was a member of North Kannapolis Baptist Church. Private graveside services will be held. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. At other times the family will be at the residence. Family members left to cherish his memory include his wife of 49 years; Linda Goforth Hamilton of the home, one daughter; Leigh Hamilton Linn and husband Robert of Concord, and their daughters; Mackenzie and Keira. Also surviving is his twin- sister, Carol Lowder of Kannapolis and a brother, Floyd Hamilton of China Grove.
