William (Bill) Hunter

Obituary: William Perry "Bill" Hunter, 82 of Kannapolis passed away on November 26, 2018. He was born May 13, 1936 in Chesterfield County, SC, a son of the late Frances Marion Hunter and Dora McIntyre Hunter. Bill was a retired veteran of the US Army after 21 years where he served 3 tours in the Vietnam War. Bill also worked at Ralph's Auto Parts for many years. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church where he was a former usher. He loved his Lord and Savior. Bill liked cooking, fishing and cars. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church officiated by Pastor James Pauley. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park with military honors. The family will receive friends prior at the church from 11:00 to 1:00 PM. He is survived by his wife Mildred Harwell Hunter, three children, Mark Hunter (Debbie), William E. Hunter, Kimberly Diane Boone (Rodney), 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sisters, Frances Smith, Margie Childress, Mary Ann Crisco, Delores Drye, brothers, John Dwight Hunter, Robert Hunter and Raymond Hunter.
