William Jerry Irvin

William Jerry Irvin, 81 of Concord, passed away, Thursday October 21, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.
He was born July 3, 1940 in Cabarrus Co to the late Johnson Orlando Irvin and Sarah Fredricka Allison Irvin.
Jerry was a building inspector for Mecklenburg Co. for many years. An outdoorsman, always enjoying something outside. Jerry was an avid bass fisherman and as well as competing in Cowboy Action Shooting competitions. Winning many individual awards for each.
Those left to cherish his memory; Anita Frye Irvin his wife of 63 years, daughter, Yvonne Rodriguez and son in law Larry of Concord, son Jason Irvin and daughter in law Tammy of Concord, grandchildren, Justin and Landon Rodriguez, Kelci and Jeremy Irvin, and Great Grandson Colby Rodriguez.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Monday, at Gilwood Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Alan Buckner officiating, burial will follow at the church cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM Sunday at Whitley's Funeral Home.
