Obituary: William James "Bill" Pearson, age 52, of Charlotte died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 31 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel with Rev. Tery Albright officiating. Private burial will take place Monday at Salisbury National Cemetery. The Family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home from 7:00 to 9:00 PM on Friday, July 30. Bill was born March 30, 1958 in Princeton, IL the son of the late Lester G. Pearson, Sr. and Mrs. Marjorie Shoffner Pearson of Concord. He was a long time area resident and veteran of the US Navy having achieved the rank of lieutenant. After the Navy, Bill dedicated his life to teaching and leaves behind a loving family of faculty, staff and students. In addition to his father, Bill was also preceded in death by his brother, Lester L. Pearson, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lori A. Pearson of the family home; his sons Andrew L. Pearson, EM-2(SS) of the USS Louisiana and Brett T. Pearson of the family home. And in addition to his mother, survivors also include 2 sisters; Robin Pearson and Lisa Easton (Bob) all of Concord and a brother, Tom Pearson (Marsha) of St. Louis, MO.
