Obituary: William Henry Keeter, 82, of Goldmoor Dr. in Concord, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, January 7 at Epworth United Methodist Church in Concord, with Dr. Glenn Myers, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from noon until 1:00 PM Friday in the church parlor prior to the service. He was born March 22, 1928 in Union Co. NC to the late Joseph Thomas Keeter and Lessie Ann Helms Keeter. In earlier years, he was a construction superintendent with F. N. Thompson. He was a member of Epworth Methodist Church for many years. He was active in various church activities throughout the years, especially the hot dog ministry, where he delivered hot dogs for 22 years. He was loved by everyone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Betty Earnhardt Keeter, who died December 21, 2010 and a brother, James Keeter and sisters, Doris Drye and Juanita Lanier, all of Texas. Mr. Keeter is survived by his son, David Keeter and wife, Robin of Kannapolis and a sister, Elizabeth Propst and husband, Harold of Kannapolis and a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, 1030 Burrage Rd. NE Concord, NC 28025. Online condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com.
Visitation: 1:00PM Friday January, 7, 2011 The family will receive friends in the church parlor from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM in the church parlor bfore the service.
