William Lloyd Ludwick

Obituary: William Lloyd "Sonny" Ludwick, 81, of Kannapolis passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014 at CMC-NorthEast. He was born October 19, 1932 in Rowan County, the son of the late William Lawson Ludwick and Annie Lloyd Martin Ludwick. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Sonny was a veteran of the US Army. He had formerly worked at Fieldcrest-Cannon Inc., Bill Dove Motors and Savings Supply. He was a faithful member of Unity United Methodist Church where he was very active serving on various church committees and a former Sunday school teacher. Sonny loved to sing and had lead the choir at church for a while. He loved worshipping the Lord. Sonny also enjoyed flying model airplanes throughout his lifetime. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ellen Daniels Ludwick, three children; Dale Ludwick (Shirley) of Salisbury, Scott Ludwick (Diane) of Kannapolis and Allison Smith (Joe) of Salisbury, 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity United Methodist Church Mobile Meals, 8505 Unity Church Rd., Kannapolis, NC 28081.
