William Edward Simpson

William E. Simpson Jr., 72, of Kannapolis, passed away, Friday, September 25, 2020 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, at Brookdale Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Hubbard and Rev. Jonathan Barnette officiating.  The family will receive friends and family from 2-3 PM prior to the service at the church. There will be a private family service at Salisbury National Cemetery at a later date.

He was born January 18, 1948 in Endicott, NY to the late William Edward Simpson and Marilyn Seely Simpson.

Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam War. He loved golf, soccer, and his children (not in that order) he was full of life and never meet a stranger, he also had a great since of humor, he was a hard worker and took care of his family, he will be missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory his wife Billie L. Simpson, eight children; Brett Simpson and wife Oliva, Kelsie Ramirez and husband Tony, Langlie Simpson, Josie Simpson, Bryce Simpson, Tanner Simpson, Hadlie Simpson, Tucker Simpson, four grandsons, Bentley and William Simpson, Easton Ramirez, and Milo Simpson.
