William "Bill" Benson Goins

William “Bill” Benson Goins, 64, of Concord, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 25, 2020.

Bill was born on October 5, 1955 in Charlotte, NC. He was a people person and always the life of the party. He would make someone feel like family in just a matter of minutes. He loved to laugh, sing karaoke, and go fishing. He was also an avid fan of dirt track and NASCAR racing.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Bobbie Sue Waldrup Goins and a sister, Marcia Goins.

Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, April (Chris) Hedgecoe and Misty (Layton) Sanderson; his father, Thurmon Rudolph Goins; four grandchildren, Josh (Jordyn) Hedgecoe, Shawn Hedgecoe, Sierra Sanderson, and Elizabeth Sanderson; one great-grandchild, Jace Hedgecoe; three brothers, Jimmy Goins, Ronnie Goins, and Buck Goins; a half-sister, Shelia Gilbert; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Finish Line Christian Center, 108 N. Main St, Mt. Holly NC 28120.A celebration service will be held in October at a date to be announced.
