Willie Cletus Hudson

Obituary: Willie C. Hudson, 83, of Kannapolis, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 following a period of declining health. He was born September 10, 1928 in Cabarrus County, NC, a son of the late Nonais and Blanche Earnhardt Hudson. He is preceded in death by his wife Altha Geraldine Conner Hudson, who died in 2005. Mr. Hudson was retired from Cannon Mills after 50 years of services as a mechanic. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a Mason, and served in the US Army during WWII. Funeral services for Mr. Hudson will be 11:00 AM Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, with Rev. Max Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday prior to the services at the funeral home. Mr. Hudson is survived by a son; Steven Hudson and wife Anita of Monroe, 2 Grandchildren, and 2 great grandsons. Family suggest memorials be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 703 Buick Ave., Kannapolis, NC 28081.
Visitation: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday prior to the services at the funeral home.

Service: 11:00 AM Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel.
