Willie L. Lowder

Obituary: Mrs. Willie L. Lowder, 90, of Kannapolis died Jan. 8, 2012 at CMC-NorthEast. She was born April 29, 1921 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Mae Lowder. She was preceded in death by her husband, PB Lowder and her son-in-law, Pete Medlin. She had worked at Cannon Mills and then at Kaiser-Roth Hosiery Mill for many years. She loved cooking, reading and watching all types of sports, especially Nascar and college basketball. She enjoyed spending time with her family the most. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. J. Burt Williams. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:30 prior at Whitley's. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Medlin, two twin grandchildren, David Medlin (Laura) and Kelli Medlin Fisher and two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Avery Medlin.
