Willis Neddie Dickerson, 78, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Big Elm Retirement Center following a period of declining health.
Neddie was born June 5, 1943 in Cabarrus County, NC the son of the late Willis June Dickerson and the late Emma Sue Moon Dickerson.
Neddie was a member of St. John’s Reformed Church where he had served on the church council.
He was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School and was a local divisional manager for Genuine Auto Parts all his working career.
He enjoyed collecting model cars from NASCAR and NHRA.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon McCombs Dickerson of Kannapolis, a son, Willis David Dickerson and wife Tammy of Salisbury along with two grandchildren; Daniel and Timothy Dickerson.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at St. John’s Reformed Church, Kannapolis with Rev. Dr. Chris King officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to St. John’s Reformed Church,901 N. Main Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
