Obituary: Willis C. "Red" Parrish, Sr.,80, of Kannapolis went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 6, 2018 following several years of declining health. Red was born May 4, 1937 in Guilford County, NC a son of the late Spencer Weldon Parrish and Pearl Juanita Parrish Parrish. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Stacie Holshouser, four brothers; Lonnie, Richard, Gurney and Edward, and three sisters; Dorothy Caudill, Christine Williams and Virginia Bare. Family members left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years; Shelbie Jean Barnhardt Parrish, seven children; Mike Parrish and Lori, Dennis Parrish, Willis C. Parrish, Jr and wife Debbie, Charlie Parrish, Pam Dixon and husband David, Angie Holshouser, and Lisa Parrish. Six grandchildren; Brandi Kilgore, Joshua Parrish, Christy Greene, Erica Holshouser, Megan Parrish and Laina Dixon, and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Jimmy Parrish. A Private Service will be held at a later date. Red was a self-employed carpenter. He was an ordained Minister of 56 years. He loved the outdoors and fishing. Red loved to draw and paint pictures.
