Wilma Adcock

Obituary: Wilma Garver Adcock, 82, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Adcock was born in Rowan County December 2, 1930 to the late Robert and Myrtle Goodman Garver. Wilma retired from Cannon Mills; was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church; and she was a loving homemaker. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, C. L. Adcock; five sons, Ronnie (Toni) Adcock of China Grove, Rodger (Jan) Adcock of China Grove, Glenn (Phyllis) Adcock of Rockwell, David (Penny) Adcock of Kannapolis, and Curtis (Sherry) Adcock of Kannapolis; one brother, Hoyle (Virginia) Garver; three sisters, Pauline Brady, Ollie Morrow (Floyd), and Sarah Rebanell Mesimer; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Leon Smith and Rev. Rick Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
