Wilma Love

Obituary: Wilma Rachel Walker Love, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Big Elm Nursing Center, Kannapolis, NC. She was born December 28, 1919 in Alexander County, NC, the daughter of the late Ossie Lee Walker and Bessie Lee Harrington Walker. Wilma was employed with the former Cannon Mills Company, Plant One, #3 Weave Room for thirty-eight years until her retirement. After retirement she enjoyed working part-time at West A Grill in Kannapolis, NC during the earlier 2000's. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Junior Love; and her sister, Suma Childers. She requested not to have a memorial service. Later, her ashes will be scattered at a special place. Survivors include her son, Lindsay C. Harrington & wife, Pamela of Kannapolis, NC; her grandsons, Lindsay Wayne Harrington of Alabama, Justin Lee Harrington of Davidson, NC, Jason Harrington & wife, Kristi of Landis, NC, Steve Hopkins & wife, Debbie of Gold Hill, NC; a granddaughter, Lisa Austin of Gastonia, NC; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Louise Gunner of Kannapolis, NC. Memorials may be made to Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1008 Moose Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
