Worth Wayne Howard

Obituary: Worth Wayne Howard "Fatdaddy" 80, of Kannapolis died at CMC-Main in Charlotte on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2018. Wayne was born on January 8, 1938 in Iredell Co., NC, son of the late Grey Obeder Howard and the late Sarah Pauline Van Pelt Howard. He was, in his early years, a supervisor with the former Cannon Mills Co., working in the Printing Dept. and later in life, as a correctional officer. He was a member of Centerview Baptist Church. Survivors include his son; Russell Howard of Kannapolis, a step-son, Scott Hart (Kristen) of Salisbury, a daughter, Donna Greaves of Panama City Beach, FL, and a special friend, Jeannie Childers. Mr. Howard is also survived by two grandchildren; Dalton Hart and Tyler Youngblood. The service for Mr. Howard will take place at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 27th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Tim McQueen. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, Jan. 26th at Whitley's Funeral Home. Interment: West Lawn Memorial Park China Grove.
