Yvonne Reid Smith

Obituary: Yvonne Reid Smith, 71, of Kannapolis passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at her home. She was born October 28, 1946 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of Christine Osborne Reid and the late John J. Reid. Yvonne worked as an advertising executive for 25 years with Bozell, Kenyan & Eckhardt Agency. She also worked at the Cannon YMCA for many years where she was an exercise enthusiast teaching classes. She was a loving, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Crossroads Church for many years. A celebration of Yvonne's life will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at Crossroads Church. Her family will receive friends afterwards at the church. Yvonne is survived by her husband of 50 years, Darrell Smith, daughter, Chris Logan (Eric), grandchildren, Taylor and Garrett, brothers, Gary Reid (Becky) and Jimmy Reid (Marilyn) and sister, Rhonda Rary.
