Bobby Joe Milam

Bobby Joe Milam, 36, of Concord, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, March 8, 2023, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born April 24, 1986, in Rowan County, he was the son of Donnie Martin Milam and Risa Patterson Deas.

Bobby had worked in the construction business as a heavy equipment operator. He loved is family, had a special affection for animals, and especially loved his dogs. He bred and raised American Staffordshire terriers. Gone too soon, Bobby will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

Family members include his father, Donnie Milam; his mother, Risa Deas (Pete); beloved daughters, Mahana and Brooklyn; his fiance, Jennifer Swink; brother, Shawn Martin Milam; aunts, uncles and extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am Tuesday, March 14th, at Whitley’s Funeral Home.  Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Pastor Brad Jenkins.  Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, where Bobby will be laid to rest beside his grandmother, Betty Joyce Patterson.
