Obituary: Robert Lee Lynch, Sr., 80 of Salisbury went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at his residence following a period of declining health. Lee was born January 9, 1938 in Moore County, NC a son of the late Truby Lynch and the late Ruby Shaw Wilkes Lynch. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Ruby Mae Collins Lynch on June 29, 2015. Lee was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Granite Quarry and was a member of the James Mathis Sunday School Class. He was a meat cutter for Winn-Dixie stores retiring with 37 years of service. Lee was an avid woodworker and enjoyed making toys for his children and grandchildren and furniture for his home. Family members left to cherish his memory are three daughters; Terry Cameron (Douglas) of Granite Quarry, Linda Ardolino (John) of Burlington, and Deborah Hughes (Michael) of Salisbury, and two sons, Robert Lee "Bobby" Lynch, Jr. and James Edward "Jimmy" Lynch (Jerri) all of Rockwell, two sisters, Geraldine Stancil of Raleigh and Polly Holder of Marietta, Ga., one brother, Randy Vest of Wagram, eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 7. 2018 at Shiloh United Methodist Church, Granite Quarry conducted by Rev. Jonathan Marlowe. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church 10:00 A.M. Friday until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church, 234 S. Main Street, Granite Quarry, N.C. 28146.
