Shirley Sue (Howard) Rogers

Shirley Sue Howard Rogers, 87, of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Tucker Hospice House.

Shirley was born on February 2, 1936 in Rowan County. She was a cherished daughter of the late Arthur William Howard and Maudie Sue Miller Howard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Fred William Rogers Jr.; daughter, Sandra Rogers Jetton, and her brother, Kenneth Howard.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Susan Rogers Price and Emily Rogers Barnhardt (William); son, Craig H. Rogers; she was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Howard Brooks and Marlene Howard.

The family will receive friends from 12:30- 1:30pm on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis. Visitation will be followed by a Graveside Service beginning at 2:00pm at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
